How american am radio sounds in europe

Receiving stations from other continents always has been a special listening discipline for radio hobbyists. Especially american broadcasters only coult be heard using more professional equipment, because of their lower transmitting power and the 10 kHz stepping. However since many european powerhouse transmitters have been dismantled during the last decades, the frequencies are now clear enough to catch american stations also on cheaper radios.

Here is a recording of mexican station XERF-am la poderosa on 1570 kHz, made in february of 2014. So far it is my only mexican catch, and probably will be the only one. The transition from am to fm is also ongoing there.

Wow, nice catch, actually the curve on earth these waves travelled is also quite exciting.
    From my top listings.:
    1010 – US WINS
    1230 US WBBR,
    750 CAN, CBC Radio 1
    1580 CAN CKDO (tent)

I have probably also spotted RCR Caracas from Venezuela, also on 750, but fell off before a full web ident, so would probably remain a mystery for years.
